Hi Lynda,
relatively perky sounds good! I always believe that if they seem clinically ok that is a very good sign. I am sure it was good for you to get away, especially knowing that she was well taken care of. This girl is very loved! I will be thinking of you, crossing my fingers that there is improvement in that PCV.
Best wishes,
Brigitte
Traveling today, Sadie in tow – but thinking of you and Honey and her PCV and I assume the ‘full analysis’ is a CBC? Anyway – go get Honey – up and onward!!!
Love and hugs to you both,
Linda and Sadie
Hi Lynda
Glad you had a successful weekend & really glad to hear Honey is perky too. Fingers & paws crossed for you all. We are all wishing hard for reticulocytes!

Oh yes, so sorry – I forgot to congratulate you on your horses – way to go. What are their names? Does Honey like them?

PS – we have this store here called Pet Smart. Of course, pets are allowed. Sadie and I were in there one day, and this guy walks in, leafing his very talk horse. Sadie took one look at this beautiful creature and looked me as if to say, “‘Now THAT is one VERY large dog!” – the horse could have cared and they walked up and down a fee isles and left. Too funny. ;)
Hi Lynda, how is Honey doing? So glad she’s on the Atopica now. I really think its helped Nula more than the prednisolone. I’m glad you had a good time in France :) Fingers crossed for a goof result for Honey in her next PCV test! Xxxx
Hi Lynda
Glad you had a good time in France and your horses did well. I loved Linda’s story about Sadie and the very big dog! It reminded me of a time the police helicopter was circling above our house (it wasn’t me, honest) and Molly spent a long time staring at it in astonishment. I think she was trying to decide if it was a large bird and maybe she could catch it?!
So pleased that Honey seems to be stable and as Brigitte says, their behaviour and clinical signs are so important. When will you get the latest PCV results?
Fingers and paws crossed from us that you get good news.

Today is not at all good.
On Wed, Honey’s PCV had dropped to 12, so we booked her in for yet another transfusion. But in the meantime, she now has a very swollen mouth and throat. The vet doesn’t yet know what it is – could be the cyclosporine, could be an oral infection. They are taking swabs.
But today was the first time we have seen Honey look really ill and defeated.
There is still no sign of an increase in reticulocytes, and we are feeling really depressed. Just hoping the vet can do something about the swelling. At t he moment, it seems not to be near her airways, but it is clearly uncomfortable and affecting her eating. They will probably give her painkillers as well.
One of you said IMHA is a rollercoaster…… you weren’t kidding. :-(
