- Diablo :(
Tara, I’m glad to read that Diablo isn’t worse and is able to eat again. I understand you would have liked the thyroid test to have shown it was out to give a reason.
Wishing him better too
Love Vally & Bingo
Dear Tara
Good to hear that Diablo is no worse, although this must be a terribly worrying time for you. I completely understand you wanting a reason for this. I think that is in our nature, as it is otherwise so difficult to contemplate why these things just seem to appear out of nowhere.
Continuing to send positive vibes and paws crossed from us both. Hoping for good news very soon.

Test to post. Not able to on iPhone.
Words not showing. Hope this goes through. I am SO thinking of you Yara and Diablo.
Huge hugs and much love.

Hello Tara. Have I missed your post – update on your fella? How is Diablo doing today. Your last post was April 9th and it’s now April 13th – just pesty me wanting to be sure you and Diablo are hanging in here……
Much love and huge hugs,
Linda
Sheena and Linda you are the best. Thanks for thinking of us. Diablo is no worse…maybe a little better but very little….it has been a week since the 2nd vestibular episode. I really think he has lost sight in one eye. For example, when I hold out a treat he goes to reach for it and totally misses and bites the air….wouldn’t the nystagmust be gone after a week? I don’t notice it any more and if it is there it is mild. He also has more trouble in the dark than in the light. He seems a little more steady and faster on his feet today or maybe it is my wishful thinking. He stills veers to the left and that is the eye I think has been affected….when he goes outside he is scared to go down one very small little ledge out our patio door…I have to help him down….he can get up it now but is a little crooked. He had some diareha yesterday so that had me worried too but he has not been eating his food and it might have been the boiled chicken….seems to be cleared up today. Hope everyone is well…I think of all of you every day too. Thanks again.
Tara, what can I say? Your boy is an old man, but I am sure he is a happy old man. He is so well taken care of and loved. What a lucky boy! Everything that gets thrown at him you tackle. Remember that he does not care if his head is tilted or he does not see out of one eye. All he cares is to be with you, being loved and cared for. Obviously he gets all that so therefore he is happy. When Kahlu was ill I always said, I enjoyed every day with him when he was healthy, he made me happy every day. Now that he is ill it is my turn to be here for him. You do that with such passion and that must make Diablo feel very secure and safe.
Best wishes,
Brigitte
