- Diablo :(
Hi Tara,
Anxiously waiting for news on Diablo. I know the panic feeling when your pup has a decline in health. It is frightening and nothing can ease the anxiety. I sure get it.
Please know we are all pulling for Diablo with prayers.
Joe
Hi everyone, I am so sorry I have not been on it a few weeks. We went on a family vacation for a week that we had originally cancelled when diablo was first diagnosed back in Feb 2013. We could not cancel again but it was one of the hardest things I ever had to do since Diablo was not 100% He stayed with my Mom (who he loves) and always stays with should we need her. He was stable when we left but about 4 days in she noticed bright red blood in his urine. I called the vet and she was willing to prescribe anibiotic and my Mom picked it up…..well that seemed to clear it up and when we picked up Diablo he was better than ever…not crooked anymore, not head tilt, tonnes of energy, trying to run with my Mom’s dog who is also a mini schnauzer but 5 years younger. He was eating better than before – I was soooo happy. Why does there always have to be a ‘but’ to all my stories. Anyway he finished the antiobiotics on Saturday evening and yesterday (Thursday) he had an accident in the house and I again saw blood in the urine :( So now my anxiety is back and I am so worried. I have left a message for the back and hope to hear back this a.m .(Friday). He seems fine otherwise so far. He was on the antibiotics (clavamox) for 10 days. I will post later after I hear from the vet and give you an update. Thanks for always thinking of us and checking in. I hope you are well, I think of you all every day. I know I have said this a million times before but don’t know what I would have done if I had not found this group – I can’t thank everyone enough.
Hi Tara. Never any need to apologize – life does get in the way. Right now I am taking care of my two grand godchildren – 10 months and 2 1/2 years. Posting and checking forum has not been as diligent as I’d like, but trying too, to keep up. Please don’t ever feel bad. We all understand.
I’m glad you got away for a while, and so very happy about Diablos’s spunk!! But sorry about the blood in the urine. I hope you get news soon.
Please keep us posted – I’ll be checking!!
Lots of love, Linda and loving the babies, Sadie
Hi Tara, as Linda said, never a need to apologise. I’m thrilled to hear that the head tilt was gone and he has lots of energy.
But I hate the but. I’ll be waiting to hear too.
Love Vally & Bingo
Hey Tara!
What brilliant news on the head tilt going & the energy – you have made my day – and don’t apologise for being busy. Oh, why is there always something to worry us? The BUT. Did Diablo have his prostate checked out a while back? Did they do urinalysis this time? Crossing everything for the antibiotics to get rid of any infection – these drugs do make them more susceptible to infections & he could do without this on top of all he’s been through. How much pred is he on now? He sounds back on form though, which is such wonderful news.
Thinking of you & Diablo as always
Loads of love, Sheena, Worzel & Ollie xxxxx
