Hi Marcella.
I’m so sorry that you and your Emberlee are going through such a frightening time. Like Vally, I’m afraid I don’t know a lot about hemangiosarcoma, although I have read a little about it previously on a blog from an owner.
Please do post any information you have, and we will do our best to support and advise you. You are doing a wonderful job right now of keeping her comfortable and loving her.
With very best wishes, Mary & Mable x
Hi Ruth
Thank you for the updates. It’s stupid o’clock in the morning and I am in night owl routine! I am sorry to hear that Nula’s PCV has dropped a little lower than hoped, but it is great news that she is clinically stable, and thank heavens it has not dropped catastrophically. They sometimes need several transfusions to get them through the initial crisis whilst waiting for response to the immunosuppressant medication. Were you able to find out whether she is on another immunosuppressant, in addition to her prednisolone?
I am so pleased you will be visiting Nula tomorrow, and I am sure she will be thrilled! I hope she enjoys her chicken and salmon. I used to go in armed with numerous food items. One day I met a lady who had come up from London with three roast chickens for her dog! Hopefully her appetite will return when she sees you. Try not to panic if it doesn’t straight away. Molly was given Mirtazapine as an appetite stimulant. I am unsure if this is used with dogs, but they might suggest it. As Linda said, the prednisolone may well also help with her appetite, and syringe feeding is perfectly possible if needed.
Anyway, I hope you have a really lovely visit with your precious girlie tomorrow. Give her hugs and ear rubs from us all :)
Much love, Mary x (and Mable, who’s a bit jealous of the salmon and chicken)
Oh gosh Linda. I looked up Bully Sticks. I can understand the “psychological barriers” mentioned on the link you posted! Haha! Still…they are natural at least! If Sadie enjoys them, that’s the main thing. I don’t think Sadie needs to worry about you stealing it for a chomp ;)

Right. That’s it. Me & my big mouth – every time I post Worzel is doing well, something is sent along to try us! Just got back from vets – he has broken his outside rear right toe – one of the phalanges nearest his foot. He is fine though & will be babied for a while. He has a massive bandage, padding, dressing on so looks like club foot! Nothing too serious, but 3 weeks in this dressing.
Love to all, Sheena, Club Foot & Fattie
Hi Patrice
This is brilliant. Have just tried it on iPhone and it seemed to work fine. I wasn’t able to put phone number in as it needs to be in US format I think, but could submit it without a number. I was able to upload a photo. As yet unsure about documents from iPhone as not sure I have any on here.
Well done! I hope you managed to get some sleep.

Oh yeah Vally – sick of you & Bingo? Never, ever. Linda is right – we need each other for all kinds of support. I agree with your vet on the pred, Vally – low as possible is best because it does have ravaging effects. Glad Bingo has perked up – cat pooh searching seems to make him very happy!
Love to all
