Tamara, so you keep the cyclo in the freezer. I thought it had to go in 30 minutes before. That’s even better that way, because you don’t have to rely on remembering to put it in ahead of time before dosing. There are enough things to have to remember.
I’ve been lucky in that Bingo was always a good pill taker and didn’t have bad reactions to his drugs. Pred was the worse but no different to anyone else.

Duh, yes in one ear out the other. I remember now – the Denamarin – it sounds like it may be that. Are you giving milk thistle separately as well – could be too much? I started using milk thistle powder and it really seemed to upset Bingo’s tummy.
Can you syringe some water into him for now – small amounts to make sure he doesn’t start vomiting again.

Oh why do they do this to us??? Nothing has changed med wise other than lowering the pred, is that right? Did they feel his tummy when he went in? Is it sore? I’m wondering if he possibly has a bout of pancreatitis or perhaps he’s really feeling the pred reduction, his adrenal glands not coping with the sudden drop. I don’t know, just things running through my mind.
I’d probably, at the least, ring the vets or maybe go back again.
If you think he’s not right, don’t wait too long.

Rick, what a brilliant PCV. Good work Brandy!!!
I know a lot of dogs seem to have trouble with the cyclosporine upsetting their stomachs too, so it could be that. See how Brandy goes. I think with most dogs it does settle down but I know Linda had a lot of trouble with her Sadie and changed it to dosing with food. I believe another thing you can do is freeze the capsule for 30 minutes before dosing. That might be a bit hard for your first dose. That’s if it is the cyclosporine, but it is known for causing stomach upsets.
I found Bingo was a zombie the whole time he was on the higher dose of prednisolone. Just slept and slept.
