- Split: Nauset
Hi Joe
I’m really sorry I couldn’t get into the site last night to reply to you. Don’t you worry at all about telling us how you feel – it’s good to let your feelings out to others who understand why you feel down & low. Don’t stay away. Because you are such a kind & compassionate person, I am honoured to know you & thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support & encouragement you gave me when I joined the old site. I will never forget that & I know all the others feel the same. We care deeply for you. Nauset is a lucky girl having you to look after her, but no dog can ever, ever replace another.
Patrice has done an amazing thing by providing us all with somewhere to talk to each other & find information & help. I know she has some wonderful ideas for the future of this site & it will knock FB into a cocked hat (as we say in the UK!).
Thank you for being here with us – we need you.
Much love to you & Nauset from Sheena, Worzel & Ollie
Nauset is feeling much better. Unfortunately we have discovered she is more destructive than Dunes.
She is really a Lab. We went out for 1 1/2 hours for a burger. We decided to let her out of the cage for the first time.
Upon coming home -oh boy- Nauset got into a corner and picked of a minature collector’s White House. She carried it from the family room through the breakfast are and kitchen into the formal dining room and proceeded to chew it. In the dining room she destroyed a wicker basket and wooden apples inside. She ate an apple candle.
Then in the family room Nauset tore apart a wooden fence like basket with tole painted lighthouses and New England Seashore. Papers were on the floor-just a real mess.
She is certainly a Lab and feeling better. Wow!
Joe
Sorry Joe – I had to laugh at your Nauset story! She’s obviously feeling perky & sometimes we like it when they are a bit naughty after being ill. Our old border collie Sprockett was the most destructive dog I have ever come across. It only took him half an hour to completely destroy our bed (ripped the side off), rip up the duvet & dig a hole in the mattress. He then started on the carpet, ripping it into 2 inch strips. I became a master plasterer as he dug holes in the house wall, his head actually making an appearance in next door’s bedroom once, much to their surprise!! My husband was very close to taking him to the RSPCA, but of course we persevered. He raided a shopping bag once & ate a bar of soap, a box of 12 eggs & LEMON. Anyway, what I’m saying is Nauset could be a lot worse!
Loads of love to you, Joe – it’s lovely to hear Nauset is feeling better.
Sheena, Worzel & Ollie
Well – you THREE, Joe, Vally and Sheena – are a hoot. Sadie is ultra boring compared to this!!!
Your Nauset seems to be feeling pretty darn good. How did she handle the candle – ya know – an apple a day…….? Maybe set up a nannycam? Or should I say, nausetcam?
Love and hugs, Linda
