Um, June 28th? Something’s wrong there. I used to always do a month to 6 weeks, but mainly because Bingo relapsed a couple of times, I was over the top. 2-3 weeks is okay with a 25-33% reduction.

Good luck with the check up.

As Sheena said, truly, you’ll be amazed at what Emily’s little body will come back to when the pred goes down. It didn’t even really take too long to see the improvement.

Oops! Haha! You got me. That would be MAY 28th.
I just want to get an idea of what a safe reduction would be. Even 6.25mg is fine with me (then I can practice those pill cuttin’ skills of yours 😉) as long as we’re moving in the right direction. I will be taking her on the 25th or 26th, so that will be almost a month since the last reduction.

I’m giving her cod and sole. Dr Dodds said there were amino acids that heal the liver in low fat white fish. Emily loves it!😀

Ah… the liver cleansing diet… my Hayley loved it… but she loves fish any way.That was one of the very first things Dr. Dodds asked me to do for Hayley. I use to home cook all the time as I do just a very little when I can now.I am truly happy to hear your dear Emily is doing well…. this can be a very slow for some fur babies and much faster for other’s. my Hayley was so very slow she was 7 years old when she was hit with this disease but she is 11 years old.After that first year Hayley was back 99% of her self but now I have to say she is 100% Hayley… those of us who have watched and nursed our dear fur baby knows all the many up’s down tears and heavy heart we carry… I will say in all the years… I still check Hayley’s gum many times a day.. THIS awful terrible disease chances us too. And, I was one of the pet parents who had never even heard of this disease. If not for all the wonderful beautiful ladies… I could not have pulled through this alone… we all need support with this… I am so glad you found these wonderful people. Okay, my friends. We’re waiting on the rest of Emily’s test results. So far, PCV is 41 :-D , pancreas levels are now normal and as I was typing the tech just now informed me her liver values have also come down!!!!!!
