- Shih Tzu Diagnosed With AIHA
Well, Emily has dropped to 39. I’m not panicking yet. I’m wondering if she just needs to balance out after the Cyclo reduction. Any suggestions?
Susie – no need to panic or worry at all – 39 is NORMAL. We like normal. She might go up a bit anyway in a few days as you’ve just done the reduction.
See this chart – look at PCV & HCT

Do you know what her normal was before the IMHA? Most of us don’t know. At one time during treatment, I would have paid a million pounds to see 39 on Worzel’s result!

That was my attitude “no problem, it’s just normal”, when I first got the results back this morning, and then the doubts started up. See, that’s why I post on here and I am so thankful for you, my coaches.❤️❤️❤️ Susie
Hahaha! Oh Sheena…you made me laugh!!
I sent an email to Dr Dodds at the same time I first posted this and she just now replied that it’s to be expected. She said, “an expected change as the body equilibrates”. What would I do without all of you!?
Love, Susie ♡
Hey Susie, yes 39 is just fine. Remember 5 up or down is always an acceptable number too. So 42 to 39 is only a mere 3 difference. Could have been just a little extra water in her system or, as Dr Dodds said, her body adjusting. I always found after a pred reduction, Bingo’s numbers always dropped a bit before picking up again.
