- Chlorophyll
For those who give chlorophyll to their dogs, is it flavoured? The only ones I can find are spearmint or berry flavoured. Also does anyone know if chlorophyll is okay with cyclosporine. I know spirulina (which is in a lot of chlorophyll) reduces the effect of cyclosporine. I’m guessing a few drops a day won’t do too much damage.
Alternatively, is spearmint okay for dogs. The ingredients listed are purified water, sodium magnesium chlorophylin (2%) preservative, (potassium sorbate), antioxidant (ascorbic acid), ethanol, spearmint oil The berry version is the same except it doesn’t have spearmint but has natural flavour.
I bought DeSouza’s liquid chlorophyll at a health food store, and it has no flavor or smell that I can tell. The ingredients are sodium copper chlorophyllin and water. That’s it. Don’t know about the cyclosporine interaction with it.
