- Ollie crossed the Rainbow Bridge
We lost our precious Shadow Dog, Ollie, on Tuesday night. He was the ultimate & perfect friend to my Worzel & was too young to leave us. I have been absent partly because of this & know my dear friends here understand I am unable to help other owners just now. My heart is broken.
I love you all – you know that.
Sheena
Ollie’s Beautiful Eyes

Ollie’s Best Friend Worzel

Ollie
We have a secret, you and I, that no one else shall know,
for who but I can see you lie each night in fire glow?
And who but I can reach my hand before we go to bed,
and feel the living warmth of you and touch your silken head?
And only I walk woodland paths and see ahead of me,
your small form racing with the wind so young and free.
And only I can see you swim in every brook I pass
and when I call, no one but I can see the bending grass.
Sheena,
I am so sad to read this.
There is no one else that I can think of who could have taken Ollie in and given him such a wonderful life. Without you, he would have been a lost soul always looking for his perfect friend.
His life was complete, surrounded by the family he loved, and his pal Worzel to hang around with. This is an empty space that nothing can fill.
I hope that he is always with you each day, a sparkle of light through the window and a light tap at the door.
Please accept my deepest condolences.

Sheena I am so sorry for your loss. When we lost Silvie a dear friend sent me this poem.
Lots of Love

YOU’LL MEET ME IN THE LIGHT
I know you can’t see me, but trust me I’m right here. Although I am up in heaven, my love for you stays near.
So often I see you crying, many times you call my name, I want so much to lick your face and ease some of your pain.
I wish that I could make you see that heaven indeed is real. If you could see me run and play, how much better you would feel.
But our loving God has promised me that when the time is right, you’ll step out of the darkness and meet me in the light.
Dear Sheen , im so sorry to hear about your lovely boy OLLIE, its so so sad when we lose our fur babys , they mean the world to us, and im sure you have been the best fur perant ever! if you ever need a chat im always here for you, thinking of you , love and huge hugs, Jill & Snoops xxxxx
Sheena- I am so sad to read this. I know it is so difficult to loose a close friend. Your poem is so beautiful and touching. Ollie was so lucky to have a mom like you, someone to care for and love him, when many others wouldn’t have even given him a chance.
“I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me, they are the role model for being alive.”
—Gilda Radner (comedienne)
Thank you all for the beautiful messages. We are very raw at the moment & to know you are thinking of us means a lot. The personal support from so many dear friends has kept me & Phil (and sad Worzel) going.
Much love to each & every one of you & your precious pups. Ollie didn’t have IMHA, but he supported Worzel through his illness like the best friend anyone could ever have. Dogs truly are inspirational.
Love, Sheena & Worzel xxx
