Hi everyone, it’s been a long time since I posted. It will be 3 yrs in Sept since Mags was diagnosed w AIHA and although there were many up and downs, it seems she finally was in remission. Since that time she has had a litany of other medical issues ( Lyme disease, ear tumors, enlarged liver, protein in urine etc) and a heart murmur. I’m posting now bc it seems her murmur has developed into dilated cardiacmyopathy DCM. She is being treated with duiretics & ace inhibitors but all the research suggests this is a death sentence. I’m reaching out to see if any of you knowledgeable ladies have any experience with this disease. I’m heartbroken. After all her fighting this is how it ends.

Hi Jen, I’m so sorry to read this. I know you must be so worried.
I’ve been telling everyone this lately, but I think this is another job for Dr Jean Dodds. She is just so clever with all things medical, but also herbal and diet. I would do a consult with her:

Also, if you go to the DogAware site – there’s a link here:

and search under Heath for Heart Disease. Mary has a lot of good information about food and supplements.
Do the consult with Dr Dodds.
Lots of love and hugs,
Vally

Thanks Vally. I didn’t realize she did consults on heart disease. I appreciate the info and will reach out to her.
Thanks again and hope all is well with you!
Jen, I’m not certain she specifically does, but if it were me, I would do the consult. It certainly won’t hurt and I really do think she will have some ideas for you. I consulted her about Bingo’s arthritis issues and neurological issues, and she always came back with something.
I lost Bingo in January this year :( He had a great life though, I know that and that consoles me.

Hi Vally, I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Bingo. It is so hard to lose our beloved babies. They truly are family. Thank you for the advice, it certainly cannot hurt.
Much love,
Jen & Mags
