Amy! Wonderful to celebrate little miss cheeky’s birthday – I cannot tell you how happy I am to know she’s beating this disease with a HUGE stick.

And some more good news. Bingo had a HUGE – I mean seriously gigantic papilloma wart on his back. He has heaps of bumps all over him but we weren’t very concerned about them. Vet’s theory is that bumps on the outside mean less bumps happening on the inside.
Anyhow this extra limb he was trying to grow on his back, kept getting bigger and as his favourite place is under a chair, it was getting knocked constantly, so bleeding and chunks of it hanging off constantly.
Decided enough, it had to come off. The vet preferred, because of his age and neurological issues (he has tremors), it was better to be done at the specialist hospital. So he was booked to see a surgeon and since Bingo has paid for the new MRI they’ve installed and the new wing at the hospital, he was given lots of special treatment and they said they could take it off that day as the anaesthetist was also available to help keep an eye on him during surgery. He was going to take off the giant wart, two little ones immediately next to it plus two lumps on his leg, which he thought were a little more sinister looking.
Surgery all went without any issues. He came home very groggy that night, but was really great the next day. His regular vet suggested using Rescue Remedy before and after surgery for a few days. The night he came home after surgery, he was very unsettled. I gave him some RR and he was all calm and asleep in no time. I was to ring the surgeon this Wednesday to check results of the specimens collected.
Stitches will stay in for 2 weeks, so another week to go, because he’s on pred and it may slow healing a bit more than usual, but the wound looks really good. He was already on Tylan powder for some loose poos lately, so no extra antibiotics.
Surgeon just rang – ALL BENIGN. Yayyyyyyy.

YAY!!!!! That is great news! Don’t you love rescue remedy??? I love that stuff. We are using it on the baby because she is anxious in the car.
So happy for Bingo!

So the holidays are upon us and I am pleased to say the board has been slow which is always a good thing with this horrid disease. I just wanted to take this time to wish everyone of you a wonderful and blessed holiday season. May all of the loves in our lives be happy and healthy humans and animals alike. Here is a little clip of the happiness that takes place at our house. Even in the rain…. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRqEG0jwhfA
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you.
Love,
Amy and the girls
Had a message from Al about Olga that I said I’d post:
“Awesome news Val!!!
Olga is into her 70th day of HW treatment. Her first shot was 11/29. Long of it, she has skin issues, along with eye infections, ear infections… 9 teeth removed, two masses on her hind quarters removed, old laceration on her front flank pit (arm pit) cut open and stitched together again……I can pick em.
The reality of it is simply this.
“A dog is the only living thing on this planet that will love me more than it loves itself.”
And THAT….is what keeps me from dating at 50.
Love you guys, will check back soon.”
