- Good News Thread
I was going to post this in my original thread but it really has nothing to do with Coal and it is something I would like to share with my AIHA family so I decided we all needed a good news thread. Please feel free to post your good news here!
So our exciting good news is our new puppy Leia comes home in 10 days!!!! She is so stinking cute!
I keep telling Coal a puppy is coming but I don’t think its sinking in HAHAHA! She will be in for quite a surprise.
I hope everyone is doing well. My prayers are with you all. Much love to Sheena! I miss you lovely!
XOXO
Amy and Coal
OMG Amy – she is so beautiful!!!!! I needed cheering up & I am grinning at her photo right now. Worzel thinks she’s a cutie pie too. I love the good news idea. 10 days is not long to wait – Coal will be so happy to be with her, I’m sure.
Loads of love always

Thank you both! Welcome back Sheena! You have been dearly missed.
I forgot to add to my good news above that our breeder has agreed to not vaccinate Leia! YAY! That is what good research and concise information get you! I am so happy she agreed and I am so happy that is is now educating herself about over vaccination and is looking into follow Dodds/Shultz protocols for her puppies! SUCCESS!!!! I can’t thank you all enough for your support in this. Without you I would not have been brave enough to stand my ground and make sure this never happens to another puppy as long as I have a voice to advocate for these helpless dogs.
Love to all,
Amy & Coal ( the clueless one)
So, I have an empty little bed. In order for this to make sense and, to have a peace, I adopted a little one that was deemed ” unadoptable” I would like you folks to meet ….
Olga!
She is a badly matted, very stinky, heartworm positive Schnauzer. All black, very curious and, very happy little girl.

Mattie, stinky and heartworm positive, Well, she sounds just perfect. Maybe Mattie would have been a good name, but knowing you she won’t be Mattie ever again, so Olga is perfect. About how old is she?
I hope your incredibly generous heart is filled with many, many blessings. Let’s hear more about Mattie, I mean Olga, and your other pups.
Amy, this thread is just the best idea and so very needed here. AND Amy, congratulations on getting the breeder to not only hand over your little Leia without the early vaccinations, but you’ve helped her to understand a lot more why this is so important.

Olga is 9 ( that is what they spca thinks) I see a great little girl in there. She has a lot of spark. dirty and such but, I dont mind that.
She has had a hard life. I had the chance to read some of her history.
This is the 2nd time she has had heartworm.
this is her 3rd trip to the spca. had been given up 2 times and found stray one time.
One of the times she was surrendered she was living in a home with 6 kids. Um.. take me to jail.. 6 kids pulling my ears, poking at me… Ill pass.
Another time she was with an elderly couple who adopted her and promptly ( that day) lost her. They didn’t want her back.
I don’t get it. She is so very sweet, has the cutest bark. She is smart. well behaved. Curious. no pee pee in the house, asks to go out.
This time she was found in a bad neighborhood wandering a busy street.
I absolutely adore her. stinky and all.
